In 1763 Mozart's family stayed here. The Sculpture of Drei Mohren was so nice. Bar and the restaurant were so fascinating.

Hotel Maximilian is a real 5 star hotel, perfectly located in the heart of Augsburg - you can comfortably walk to all major sites in the city. Our room was big, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, good breakfast. You can charge your car in the public parking garage, where the hotel has reserved Electric Car charging stations. AND very important for me: a bed that was longer than 2meters!!!! ALL in all: properly 5 stars

I absolutely liked everything. The bed could have been a little softer, but that is really down to personal preference. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and polite. Especially Luther could not do enough to make my stay pleasant. He is a credit to the Hotel. The room was a generous size, my request for parquet flooring could be accommodated (allergies), the bathroom offered all one could wish for and need, even a bathroom scale was thought of. Both room and bathroom were spotless. It is the little things, from parking my car, to delivery of my suitcases, to the turndown service and the unobtrusive attention of the staff that make this a wonderful hotel. This was not my first visit and it was as good as I remembered, if not better. This is how you run a hotel. I can only recommend and will stay again, if/when I am back in Augsburg.

The breakfast is excellent, staff in the restaurant is very nice, friendly and helpful. Nice bathroom with a bathtub and spacious shower. Great location. Both hot saunas were great. (Steam bath was not on unfortunately.)

We were upgraded to a superior room which was a great size with a huge, comfy bed and good quality sheets. We had to ask for a kettle twice which was a shame but it came eventually! The Molton Brown toiletries smelled gorgeous and the shower was excellent. We paid extra for breakfast and it was delicious, lots of choice and lots of staff to clear the tables. We asked for a late check out and this was given until 2pm free of charge which was a very pleasant surprise! I didn't visit the spa as it was only open from 4pm to 10pm. Overall an excellent hotel in a central location with super staff giving great service!

Front desk was very responsive to inquiries and concerns. We enjoyed dinners on 3 occasions in the bar-restaurant!.

Central upmarket hotel, within short walking distance of all sights. Good size room, comfortable beds, excellent bathroom- best shower ever. We ate out for breakfast and evening meals. Plenty of choice of all around for both. Parking easy and very close, if expensive… 23 euros per day… but we knew in advance.

Hotel was in a great location - and our room was made up beyond our expectations. I booked a suite for myself, husband and two teenage daughters - and the girls' (temporary) beds were already made when we checked in. Staff was super-helpful (and it was nice to see women running things, valet, bellhops, etc. as well as men!). Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was delicious and the room was just our aesthetic ("soft contemporary").
